Destination * Beach * Boutique
Your wedding ceremony is an important and life changing milestone for the bride and groom. It's a promise and the start of a new lifetime partnership together. Many couples are choosing to have small private ceremonies at top vacation destinations around the world. Whether it's on the beach, a mountaintop, or the ski slopes, it's about you as a couple celebrating! Tricia & Co. specializes in boutique weddings. What does that really mean for you? We spend more time tailoring the event just to you - your family and friends. With small groups we have more flexibility for locations and creative photography. With a large event there is a strict time schedule and the time to go to beautiful spots or weather changes can not be rescheduled. Our packages fit your schedule and our photographers can offer suggestions for classic and timeless photographs you'll share for generations.

How to find a good wedding photographer?
The first thing to keep in mind is that there are no state educational or license requirements for photographers. That can be good or bad. Many beginning photographers start their businesses with weddings because it's the easiest way to make money. We all have to start somewhere, however, if photography is important to you be sure to know how much experience they have. Ask for two albums to be seen at an appointment. One with an entire wedding from start to finish and one with lots of weddings in it. Then you can see both how they photograph an entire event and that they have experience with lots of weddings.
What questions do I ask a wedding photography studio?
Did you shoot film? If they did, then they have the experience and understanding of lighting and how a camera works. They didn't have the luxury of checking their images on the back of an LCD screen.
Tell me about weddings you've done? Leave this an open ended question. If they can discuss the positive and fun moments of weddings, then you have a winner.
Do you have a shot list of poses? Even though the fad is candid, fashion type images, at the end of the day, the photos of the bride and groom looking good with the family is the most important. Be careful of anyone who can't go through a list of must have images. They might be a beginner and not have much experience. Candid fun poses are important too but a balanced coverage of nice lighting and poses is important for the whole package.
How much does a professional wedding photographer cost?
It depends. Expect to pay at least $800 to $3600 for a professional. Why? There is more to a wedding then just photographing the event. There is a great deal of work in post production and creating an album. Even with digital, probably more so then film, it's a time consuming process. For a professionally designed album, expect to pay $500 to $1500. It's worth it. This is an heirloom. It's important for the images to be color corrected with archival inks and paper. Also even if the digital files are included, ask how much prints cost. A professional will retouch and color correct a final product that you'll be proud to display on your wall.
